Telkom Device Insurance is a Value Added Service offered to all Telkom customers with devices purchased directly from Telkom. The cover provides protection against accidental, unforeseen physical loss, theft, or damage to the insured item.

Telkom Device Insurance is excluded from any credit vetting checks or calculations.

Mobile devices

Mobile devices must be insured within sixty (60) days of purchase.

This includes cellphones, tablets, routers, modems, and laptops.

Fixed devices

Fixed devices can be insured within one (1) year of purchase.

This includes Wi-Fi extenders and Telkom landline handsets purchased directly from Telkom.

Accessories such as Bluetooth devices, pouches, chargers and fashion items are not covered. Coverage does not apply to base offers or SIM-only deals.

How do I pay?
Your insurance premium is based on the retail value of your device. If you are a Telkom contract customer, the premium will be added to your monthly Telkom bill. For prepaid customers, the monthly premium will be debited directly from your nominated bank account.
