Telkom Loyalty Funeral Cover is a funeral benefit to provide financial security to qualifying Telkom Prepaid customers, at no additional cost.

The cover consists of a cash payment of R10 000 to assist your loved ones with funeral arrangements or with the costs of the funeral, should you pass away.

    Simply opt-in for the funeral cover. Dial *180# from your phone, select Funeral Cover and nominate your beneficiary.

    Recharge

    Recharge with R100 or more airtime in a calendar month, as a single recharge or through cumulative recharges.

    How do you qualify?

    You must:

    Prepaid
    Be a Telkom customer

    Only Telkom Prepaid customers qualify.

    South Africa
    Be a South African citizen

    You must be a registered South African citizen, aged between 16 and 75 years.

      What is funeral cover?

      Funeral cover provides financial security for your loved ones to assist with funeral arrangements or costs, should you pass away. Funeral cover has no medical underwriting, and you nominate your own beneficiary that will receive the funeral cover benefit in cash.

      What must I do to qualify?

      It’s simple. You must:

      1. Be a South African citizen, between the age of 16 and 75 to participate.
      2. Be a Telkom Thola More or Telkom More Prepaid customer.
      3. Opt-in for the loyalty funeral cover. Dial *180# and select Funeral Cover and nominate your beneficiary.
      4. Recharge with R100 or more airtime in a calendar month, single recharge or cumulative recharges. You will qualify for R10 000 in cover at the beginning of the following month, valid until the end of that month.

      How much funeral cover will be allocated?

      The amount of Loyalty Funeral Cover which will be allocated for the following month is R10 000. This is the maximum amount of cover you can qualify for in one calendar month period.

      What happens if I do not recharge with R100?

      You will not qualify for the Loyalty Funeral Cover in the following month.

      Will I pay for the funeral cover?

      No, there are no additional costs. You qualify for the Loyalty Funeral Cover if you recharge with R100 Telkom Prepaid airtime in a calendar month.
