Service Description
High Speed Mobile Internet Access
The network enables high speed mobile Internet access, up to 7.2 Mbps, which is the current speed supported by 3G mobile handsets, data cards and USB modems available currently in the market.
Video Calling
With video calling, callers can see one another. No settings required to make or receive video calls. To make a video call with another Telkom user, just dial the number and then press on video call button, or choose “video call” from the options, depending on your handset. For a successful two-way video call, both sending and receiving parties should have 3G subscriptions and 3G-video enabled mobile handsets.
MMS
MMS provide for sound, pictures and video communication. This service is restricted to the Telkom network only. MMS’s to other networks will be available shortly.
SMS
SMS allows short text messages to be sent and received.
Call Forward
Call Forward allows you to divert your calls to a number of your choice.
Call Waiting
Call Waiting is a service that informs that you have another incoming call when you are busy on the telephone.
Call Hold
Call Hold service gives you the option of putting your first caller on hold while you take the second incoming call.
Call Barring
The Call Barring facility allows calls, incoming or outgoing, to be blocked.
CLIP
Calling Line Identity Presentation, if activated, this service will display the calling party's number on the handset's display. If the calling party has restricted this information, then it cannot be displayed
CLIR
Calling line Identity Restriction restricts the called party from seeing CLI information If CLIR is active then, CLIP is inactive.
