Order
DSL is provided by splitting the voice and data channels on your existing telephone line, therefore before we can provide you with Telkom's DSL services, you need a telephone line.
If you do not have an existing telephone line then you need to apply for a normal telephone services first after which we can do DSL installation.
The process to follow is as follows
1. Check if your equipment meets the Minimum Requirement.
2. Check if you exchanges are DSL Compatible by using the DSL Checker.
- If your exchange is ADSL compatable, you may check to see information regarding whether you may obtain up to 10 Mbps fastest ADSL service.
3. Once you have established that you do qualify for ADSL service, you should order your internet account from your service provider of choice or from TelkomInternet. TelkomInternet services can be ordered telephonically by dialling 10215

You can choose between the standard offering or a 24-month contract offering.The 24-month contract bundle includes a Telkom modem with a splitter/filter combination (not applicable to fast dsl speed). The Standard offering will provide you with the ADSL access only, you need to buy a modem either from Telkom or from an external supplier. You will also need a filter and a splitter if your telephone jack does not have two access points.
Please note: To order Telkom's DSL access service you have to meet certain criteria.
