Telkom Online Bill is available to all Telkom customers (residential and business) with less than 10 Telkom accounts. The only requirement is access to the Internet and a valid e-mail address. Business customers with 10 or more accounts are advised to apply for our alternative (business-business) electronic billing service, Ease-e-Bill.
As a valued Telkom customer this service is offered to you at no cost.
You will receive an automatic notification from Telkom Online Bill via e-mail whenever a new monthly account is available. This notification will instruct you to log into the Online Bill website to view your new invoice.
Under normal circumstances, you will be able to register and access all telephone (voice) and data accounts via the service. Please note that the service is restricted to residential and certain business customers only (less than 10 lines). Consequently, accounts that do not fall into this category will not be accessible and you may get an error message. In the event of the latter, please apply for our Ease-e-Bill service or else you may query the registration attempt on our technical support number.
Telkom Online Bill offers secure online Credit Card payment via the website. You may use this secure facility to transact payments on your Telkom accounts. Currently, only Visa and Mastercard payments are supported. Payments made via the website will be reflected on your Online Bill payment profile.
For every successful payment transaction on your Online Bill profile, a unique transaction ID is generated. This is equivalent to a receipt and serves as proof of your payment. To view a list of your payments and the transaction ID or receipt number for each, visit the Payments page. To confirm proof of payment to Telkom at any time you will need to quote your method of payment (online via credit card), the transaction ID (receipt number) and the amount as appears on your payment profile.
Only payments made via the Online Bill payment facility can be reflected here. It is likely that this payment was made outside of the Telkom Online Bill system and consequently it cannot be tracked by the system. This payment will however be reflected on your next online account statement. Should this not be the case, please contact Telkom Account Enquiries.
Please note that whether you pay your account via the Online Bill facility or any other acceptable channel, it will not be reflected on your existing account statement. These payments will only be reflected on your next account statement. Should this not be the case, please contact Telkom Account Enquiries.
Telkom treats all your personal information as strictly confidential and consequently this information will not be made available to any third party, unless Telkom is legally obliged to do so.
Further, the Telkom Online Bill service is secured by the highest globally accepted Internet security measures so that users of the service are not at any risk during online communications, when exchanging sensitive information such as credit card details or detailed billing information.
Telkom will also not store your credit card information anywhere. While this is an additional security measure, it unfortunately means that you will have to re-enter your credit card details every time you wish to make a payment via the Online Bill system.
Note that there is no risk in entering credit card details at Online Bill or the account payment being intercepted, but rather in someone else obtaining your number by other means and using your credit card details fraudulently.
See Telkom Online Bill security explained for more information on online security.
A total of 3 months of your account history is kept on the Online Bill site at any given time. When you first register an account number, your last Telkom invoice/statement for that account will be loaded. Thereafter only the 3 most recent invoices will be kept on the system.
If you require archiving of your account information for longer periods you may download the invoice information onto your PC or print copies of your individual account summaries. Telkom will still keep a record of your accounts within the legal requirements. You may request historical account information by calling Account Enquiries on 10210.
All Telkom Account Enquiries must be directed to the 10210 Call Centre. Business customers may contact the Business Call Centre on 10217.
All Online Bill related queries (technical, registration and website enquiries) may be directed to the Online Bill Support Centre on 080 TEL BILL or 080 835 2455.
For new orders call 10219.
For Fault Reporting or Repairs call 10212.

We strongly recommend that you use the latest available version of your web browser and adhere to the required security SSL settings to access the Online Bill website. This ensures that you will be able to access the secure pages on Online Bill without incident and that you are using the latest security features available to you.
Online Bill uses a 128-bit encryption VeriSign SSL Web Server Certificate. Consequently, any information exchanged between yourself and the Online Bill web server is encrypted (or scrambled). This means that a third party on the Internet cannot tamper with or steal your credit card or personal details.
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a technology that enables a web browser and a web server to communicate securely; in other words it allows your web browser to authenticate the Telkom Online Bill web server. When you submit personal information such as your name, email address, or credit card details to the Online Bill website, your browser will encrypt this information before it is sent. When visiting a website that is using a valid digital certificate, you are informed that the website has a digital certificate. The digital certificate also displays the identity of the website owner (Telkom), and the name of the independent Certifying Authority who verified that identity (Verisign). By checking the certificate, you can verify that the website is valid and who it belongs to.
To tell whether the website you're on is secure or not, look for the "locked "and "unlocked" icons in your browser. If a secure SSL connection is established between your web browser and the web server, the "http" in the URL (or web address) will normally change to "https", and the browser will display the "locked" icon. IMPORTANT: Please Read
Despite the use of certificates, however, there exists the possibility that sensitive information may be captured by unauthorised parties if your computer is compromised through unauthorised access or through unsolicited security breaches, or similar. It is therefore in your own security interests to ensure that all online transactions are only conducted from computers that are adequately secured and trusted.
