I would like to view the detailed information for the open Tenders advertised on the Telkom Tender Bulletin Board. What do I do?
I think I may have registered on e-Sourcing but I forgot my username and password site.

Username and password is linked to a specific person. You may self-register (http://apps.telkom.co.za/telkomros/telkomrosform.do) to be added as a secondary contact.

Will I be given new password every time new Tender is issued?

No. You will be assigned username and password once.

To reset the password, request must be sent to ARS@telkom.co.za

I have multiple members of my tender proposal preparation team. Therefore, I’d like to add more than 1 primary and 1 secondary users to the e-Sourcing portal?

You can only add one Primary user for your company. However, multiple secondary users may be added.

With the recent upgrade, all users (Primary or Secondary) can mark your proposal Final and submit to Telkom prior to the Tender Closing date.

I have some questions to ask regarding your Tender. Before, I used email.

Once you have accessed our detailed Tender documents, please make use of the Discussions tab to ask your question to the Tender Coordinator and he/she will get back to you.

The tender has closed, and I just got an email notification that I received a message from Telkom. Why is this?

Telkom may need to ask for clarifying questions post our initial evaluations. We may also require additional documents. To facilitate this communication, we have re-activated the Tender on e-sourcing. There is no need for alarm.

I’m an existing Telkom services provider, and the system won’t let me register. What’s wrong?

Someone may have registered using your email. Please contact ARS@telkom.co.za

I have registered on e-sourcing, but Telkom won’t purchase from me. Why is that?

Registration on e-sourcing allows you to bid for Tender opportunities. If awarded business, the winning bidder will be loaded onto Telkom’s active supplier database (if not already), and Telkom will conduct business with those awarded vendors.

I have registered on the e-sourcing website. I like getting open Tender notifications. Will Telkom get an automated away response if I am away on leave?

Unfortunately, the system will not forward your away message. For this reason, we recommend having at least 2 or 3 users registered to our e-sourcing website for business continuity purposes.

Once I submit my mark my proposal/bid Final and submit my response, can I change my response and re-submit before the Tender Closing date?

Please review your proposal before marking it Final and submitting it to Telkom.

You cannot change your response after your submission (the only exception is per below)

I require extension due to a technical issue with my computer. This could also be a result of load shedding. Will Telkom extend the deadline?

Telkom would like to avoid all extensions and will only accommodate such requests on rare occasions. If the extension is absolutely necessary, please contact the Tender coordinator. Upon extension, e-sourcing will not will change the Respondents’ FIRM status to UN-FIRM status automatically. Meaning, early submitters can keep their responses as FIRM or request the Tender coordinator re-track their response manually.

I cannot attach my documents. What’s wrong?

You can only upload up to 10MB per file. You may need to break up their files and attach multiple documents

Where do I upload our tender responses/proposal/bid?

Please zip relevant documents and upload your responses on Attachment tab.

What is the Password, as I cannot log in without that?

After registration, each User contact will receive two separate emails notification containing the username and temporary password allocated to the individual.

When I try to register online and try to select the “form of address” on the portal, I received the following error?

Please do not use Browsers Google Chrome and Safari

Please use only the following:

  1. Internet Explorer 8,9,10
  2. Firefox
When I log in it states our Company is locked? And on the far right it states Welcome: DO NOT USE?

You have not created an initial new username since receiving the username emailed to you on registration of your Company initially. Do not log in to view tenders with the initial username that Telkom emailed to you. See pages 6 and 7 of the user guideline How to Register as a Prospective Supplier on how to register.
