The SHE Governance process in Telkom is applicable Telkom-wide and is the Chief Executive Officer's (CEO) as the 16 (1) accountable employer for Telkom in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act 85 of 1993 and all associated legislation.
As Telkom owns and operates in a diverse range of businesses in different countries around the World, their nature and composition may affect Safety, Health and the Environment. Through governance, Telkom will keep control and influence its SHE performance and behaviour thus minimising injuries, impacts and harm. This policy thus forms the basis for any SHE system(s), application and effectiveness in these business operations.
